Hip thrust

A multi-joint exercise & concentric exercise, weighted using a barbell (or equivalent like a kettlebell or a weight plate), supported by a bench.

Considered a glutes exercise, with the following muscle groups:

  • targeted: glutes
  • secondary: quadriceps & hamstrings

Level: intermediate.
