A multi-joint exercise & eccentric exercise, using a barbell with a pronated grip, lying on one’s back, over a flat bench.
Considered a chest exercise, with the following muscle groups:
- targeted: pectorals
- secondary: deltoids (anterior deltoid) and triceps
Level: beginner.
Exercise grading: A (not S because the barbell, pressing on the chest, may limit the range of motion).
