Dead hang

An isometric exercise, using bodyweight, hanging from a (horizontal) bar.

Considered a middle-back exercise, with the following muscle groups:

  • targeted: lats and traps
  • secondary: deltoids (posterior deltoid) and forearms

Level: beginner.
