An equipment grip where the palms face towards the body (if the bar is overhead, e.g. for a pull-up, the palms would face away from the body).
Some exercises with a pronated grip: bench press, military press, deadlift, barbell squat, bent-over row, pronated pull-down & pull-up…
It is the most common grip using a barbell.
Often opposed to supinated grip.
It should be noted that it helps to improve grip strength by building stronger forearms and hands.
